Brendan & Amy Abernethy

Born in Dunedin but raised in Ashburton, I’m a local lad that has come home! During my teenage years, I discovered how much Jesus loved me, which changed my life. As I’ve walked with Jesus, He has taken me all around the world on crazy adventures, including living in the UK, Australia and now back in sunny NZ! A major high was marrying my beautiful wife Amy who I met in England, and adding our precious children Josiah and Lily to our family whilst in Australia. In 2017, God called us back to NZ, so we sold up and headed to Ashburton. Last year we felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to plant a church here. We have had an ongoing relationship with the pastors of Grace Vineyard for many years and are so excited to do this as part of the Grace church family. We love Grace Vineyard and are super excited to see God change lives in Ashburton like he did mine!
