Welcome to Beach Campus!
Wherever you are at with God and wherever you are at in life, you are so welcome around here. We are passionate about New Brighton and the East! We love this community and believe God is writing a greater story over our City.
We know that coming to a new church for the first time can be rather daunting, so we always want to make guests feel welcome at our services. So come along and try us one week!
At Beach, there are a number of ways to get to know others; including joining us in the welcome café on a Sunday; regular newcomer lunches and through our various activities throughout the week.
Come and Try Us!

Megan & Logan Matthews
We are Logan and Megan and these are our 4 children, Toby, Jordyn, Katie and Annelise. We came to Beach Campus to get involved with the Deaf Community. We love the family and community feel at Grace. The kids are loving Passion Kids and LIVE. We have felt very welcomed and love being a part of the church.

Beach People
Sarah & Giles Learman
We are the Learman family and have been blessed to be part of the Beach Campus family for over seven years.
We love how Grace Vineyard is a church which is so active both inside and outside of the building, and how Beach Campus is so focused on ‘loving on’ the community of New Brighton, in which it is based.
As a congregation, we are constantly challenged and encouraged to go deeper in our daily walk and to put our faith into action. We love this!
Joel and Isobella enjoy passion kids on a Sunday morning. They look forward to singing songs and playing games during this time.

Izzy Costigan
I am 19 and come from a non-Christian home. I came to Grace through the community programs run by Youth Alive Trust and haven't left since!
Beach Campus is so much more than just a Church. Some would call it a vibrant community, but I like to call it a family. A family where you are welcomed as you are, no matter who you are or your situation. Where people invest their time and energy to see you grow into your full potential. Where people love you, for you.

Finn Palmer
I am 15 and do correspondence School in year 12.
I love Beach Campus because I first became a Christian by coming to GVY on Wednesday nights. I love to attend Sunday services because I want to learn as much as possible and grow in my faith.

Beach People
Nicole Oneil
My name is Nicola Oneil. I am part of the deaf community and wider family at Beach Campus. I like to do crafts, sew clothes, quilting, knitting, and crochet. I love being part of this church. God has been in my life for over 30 years now and has walked with through the dark valleys. God helped me through problems; money worries, desperation, breakdowns, work, and health problems but God pulls me through time and time again and I know His peace.

Marie Grooby
38 years old. Mum to 2 boys 16, Tyson and 6, Lakyn and 1 girl, Imogen, 5. I am studying Te Reo Maori. I've been coming to Beach Campus for 2.5 years. The first time I walked in I felt at home. It was where I was meant to be. The people were welcoming, friendly and I felt an immense outpouring of love and acceptance without judgment of myself and my children. This overflowed out into the community.

Beach People
Emerald, AJ and Forest Whales
We are the Whales family. AJ and I (Emerald) are 27 years old and our baby, Forest, is 9 months old. AJ is a Youth Worker and I am a Stay-at-Home Mum. We really love being part of the Beach Campus family. Our favourite thing is being part of a community of all ages which offers support and fellowship.

Beach People
Ben & Jess Mayo
Jess and Ben got married in 2017. They live centrally with a puppy and two chickens, but both grew up on the East side of Christchurch. Ben is a Case Coordinator at ACC and Jess is (almost!) a lawyer.
Jess and Ben love Beach Campus because of its friendly and welcoming nature, diverse congregation and the impact it has on the New Brighton community. Ben came to know God through Beach youth programmes and Jess has found the prayer ministry service very helpful. They both enjoy attending a young adults life group and appreciate the practical and non-judgemental support that the church provides.

Being part of a small group in a large church is the only way to get to know others and be known. Grace Vineyard is a large church made up of small groups called Lifegroups. We have three types of Lifegroups: Home groups, Activate groups and Growth groups.
