Dave & Mel Oliver
Hi, I help coordinate Passion Kids at Plains Campus. I was raised in a Christian family and first started coming to Grace Vineyard in 2003 when I joined the youth group. I met my wonderful husband Dave there and went on to be a youth leader under Scottie’s leadership.
I am a trained Primary School teacher and work a couple of days a week at Rangiora New Life School. Dave and I have 3 boys who keep us very busy.
I love working with kids and seeing their hearts shine for Jesus. It is so rewarding being with your kids each Sunday and watching as they grow in their faith and experience the touch of the Holy Spirit. That is why I do what I do!

We have been coming to Grace Vineyard Plains Campus for a couple of years. The reason I love Grace Plains is we are a family that gets things done!
I look after the Operations teams that make things happen and they are all a great bunch of guys! We have a heap of fun on our early morning starts!
Scottie and Bridget are the best! Full-on life and lots of fun!
You don't know what you are missing!!

I first visited Grace with a friend about 5 years ago, and immediately felt like I had come home, and have never left! Grace is certainly my whānau and I love feeling like I belong and being alongside people who really care about who you are. I have been involved with the youth here in North Canterbury for the last 4 years, and now head up the team along with Mikaela. I am passionate about building connections and relationships, and love the connections with the young people here in my community - a far cry from my day job as an Early Intervention teacher! My hope and prayer is that young people learn about God through their relationship with us as leaders, and in turn, that they grow in relationship with God and each other.
I'm wife to Joe, and Mum to my two adult children, Mj and Cam. In my 'spare time' I love to be outside and to be active and particularly love to ski, climb mountains, and enjoy landscape photography. And if I get to combine these it's a bonus!

Join a Lifegroup!
Being part of a small group in a large church is the only way to get to know others and be known. Grace Vineyard is a large church made up of small groups called Lifegroups. We have three types of Lifegroups: Home groups, Activate groups and Growth groups.
