We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Youth Pastor to co-lead and help grow our GVY ministry at Beach Campus.

This is a 20-hour per week role, with strong potential for increased hours in the near future as the ministry grows. This is not simply an events role — it is a pastoral and leadership calling. We are looking for someone who carries both conviction and compassion; someone who loves Scripture, discipleship, and building strong ministry teams; someone who can create welcoming environments that are expectant, Spirit-led, and deeply relational.

Pastor & Disciple

· Provide spiritual and emotional care to youth and intermediate-aged young people.

· Walk alongside volunteer leaders in encouragement, accountability, and discipleship.

· Build a culture where young people are known, supported, and challenged to grow in Christ.

Lead & Build

· Oversee and lead GVY programs and gatherings.

· Shape Sunday services and youth environments that are engaging, well-prepared, and Christ-centred.

· Develop and train volunteer teams — identifying emerging leaders and equipping them to serve confidently.

Create Momentum

· Help grow attendance and spiritual depth within the ministry.

· Contribute to strategic planning alongside campus leadership.

· Strengthen communication with parents, leaders, and staff to ensure alignment and clarity.

· A devoted follower of Jesus with a genuine heart for young people.

· Ideally 3+ years of experience in youth leadership, discipling, or pastoral ministry. (voluntary or paid)

· Confident in planning and delivering youth gatherings and teaching the Christian message clearly.

· Organised, relational, and proactive.

· Energised by developing teams and raising leaders.

· A collaborative team player who supports the broader vision and values of the church.

The Assistant Youth Pastor plays a vital role in shaping environments where young people can:

· Encounter Jesus authentically

· Form strong Christian identity

· Develop leadership and spiritual gifts

· Build meaningful Christian community

You will help cultivate a ministry that is spiritually vibrant, relationally warm, and strategically intentional — with room to grow as the campus continues to expand.
